* RAM s usually comes like 16 32 128 256 512 1024 MB
* If you need to have 1 GB RAM u can add 1024 MB RAM
* If you alrady using a 512 MB Ram u can easilly put another 512 MB RAM
then it works as 512 MB RAM ( 512MB + 512MB = 1024 MB = 1.024 GB)
* After knowing How much RAM you need You must see what is the card type (RAM type )
ypu need
* you can find this in the manual of your computer
* today most computers usually have DIMM slots.
* KEEP REMEMBER PUTTING WRONG TYPE OF RAM CAN BE DAMAGE BOTH SYSTEM AND THE CARD
* This RAM type must match the existing RAM in speed, parity and type
* common type available today is SDRAM.
* Before open the case of your CPU make sure that computer is turnoff and unpluged
* RAM is installed in a series of slots on the motherboard known as the memory bank.
* Select the correct slot and install the RAM

RAM and SAM

RAM
You can access memory cell directy
if you know the row and colum of that cell correctly.
Opposite of RAM is SAM (Serial access memory)
